Hi there! The Artful crafting craft challenges have started off this year with a kick start. The theme for February was love, you can view the challenge here. So here is our take on the challenge!
What I have decided to go for the love theme, is to make a collage block of people whom I dearly love. These are my three kids, my love, my life. Being an engineer by profession, dusted with a little creative streak, I always strive to make something dimensional, different, or out of the box. So here, what I have done is to take a plain wooden block and sanded one edge to balance it in such a way that it appeared standing and dimensional.
Now I used gesso to coat it.
I had long since wanted to experiment with textured paste and mica powders. Though this 3-3″ wooden block provided a small surface, but never the less, where there is will, there is a way! So, I textured the surface.
Super adorbs, Sharooq.
